          Meet Our Family

Amanda is the owner and the heart behind our program. With years of experience raising and breeding Dachshunds, she is dedicated to preserving the qualities that make the breed so special while putting the health, temperament, and happiness of every puppy first.

In 2026, our family grew as Josselyn and Sabina officially joined the Pulley’s Wagging Tails team, bringing their own strengths, passions, and love for animals to the program.

Josselyn is our stay-at-home mom and personal groomer. She plays an important role in the day-to-day care of our dogs, making sure they receive plenty of love, attention, and hands-on care as they grow. Her dedication to grooming and caring for our dogs helps keep them happy, healthy, and looking their best.

Sabina is our future veterinarian. She is currently pursuing her education with the goal of bringing her growing knowledge of animal health and veterinary care into everything we do. She is passionate about continuing to learn and hopes to use that knowledge to help our dogs and puppies thrive. We believe that education and continued learning are an important part of providing the best care possible.

Together, we are a family team with a shared goal: to raise Dachshunds with love, care, health, and wonderful temperaments while helping each puppy find the family that is right for them.

It All Started With Lila...

               Our Story

Our journey with Dachshunds began in 2014, when Amanda's aunt, a dedicated Dachshund breeder, gifted her a pair of puppies—a charming male and an adorable female named Lila. Lila quickly became a beloved companion to Amanda's oldest son and remains a special part of our family's story to this day.

As we welcomed our first litters, our love for the breed continued to grow. What began as a love for these wonderful little dogs soon became a passion for responsible breeding. We learned that breeding is about so much more than producing beautiful puppies. It is about carefully choosing pairings, raising puppies with strong foundations, and helping families find healthy companions with wonderful temperaments.

From the beginning, our goal has been to place health and temperament above color or appearance alone. We believe a Dachshund should be more than beautiful—they should be healthy, well-socialized, confident, and raised with the care and attention they deserve.

A New Chapter

In 2023, we made the difficult decision to retire from breeding and begin a new chapter of our lives. We relocated to sunny Florida and looked forward to a different kind of adventure... but something was missing.

Without Dachshunds in our home, we quickly realized just how much these little dogs had become a part of our lives. Their personalities, companionship, and unconditional love had left a lasting place in our hearts.

Thankfully, our story with Dachshunds wasn't quite over.

A Special Friendship — The Spotted Doxie

One of the people who helped make our return to Dachshunds possible is a dear friend in Texas who has her own Dachshund program, The Spotted Doxie.

Over the years, she has remained a wonderful friend and an important part of our Dachshund journey. She has several dogs from the lines Amanda carefully cultivated during her years of breeding, and she always reminded us that if we ever wanted to return to breeding, she would be there to help.  Today, our connection has grown into more than friendship. We also co-own some of our adult Dachshunds with The Spotted Doxie, allowing us to continue working together and share in the care and future of these special dogs. This partnership gives us the opportunity to maintain meaningful connections between our programs while continuing to build on the lines and qualities we value.

Her friendship, experience, and encouragement have been incredibly meaningful as we returned to breeding. We are grateful to have someone who shares our love and passion for the Dachshund breed and who has supported us throughout this new chapter.

While The Spotted Doxie and Pulley’s Wagging Tails Doxies are their own individual programs, we are proud to share a special friendship, co-ownership partnership, and connection through our love of these wonderful little dogs.

Growing Together

In 2026, that new chapter became a family effort. With Josselyn and Sabina joining the team, Pulley’s Wagging Tails Doxies became more than a return to breeding—it became something we could grow and build together.

Today, we are excited to continue this journey with the same passion that started it all: raising healthy, happy, well-loved Dachshunds and helping families find a lifelong companion.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know our family and our story. We hope you'll follow along as our program grows and, perhaps one day, welcome one of our puppies into your own family.

Welcome to the Pulley’s Wagging Tails family! 🐾
